20W COB LED Strip Lights IP65 in SydneyDiscover IP65-rated 20W COB LED strip lights at Empire of Light for projects needing a degree of protection against dust and water jets. COB technology helps create a more continuous-looking line of light, while the IP65 classification applies to the protection level specified for the particular product. Always check the product datasheet and installation instructions, especially where strips are cut or connected. What Does IP65 Mean for LED Strips?IP65 indicates dust-tight protection and resistance to water jets under the applicable test conditions. It does not mean the strip is suitable for immersion or underwater use. Exposure to weather, UV, heat and chemicals can require additional product-specific ratings. Cut ends, connectors, joints and power connections must be protected appropriately or the completed installation may not retain the original strip rating.Choosing a 20W IP65 COB StripColour temperature: Compare available warm, neutral and cool white options for the intended setting.Power and voltage: Confirm the strip’s actual watts per metre, supply voltage and total driver capacity.Installation environment: Check whether the specific strip is approved for the intended indoor or outdoor position.Profiles and heat: Follow manufacturer guidance for mounting, heat dissipation and protective channels.Connections: Use suitable wiring, connectors and end sealing compatible with the strip’s dimensions and environmental requirements.Long runs: Check maximum lengths and voltage-drop limits before designing the circuit.Where to Use IP65 COB Strip LightingDepending on the product’s stated suitability, IP65 COB strips may be considered for covered outdoor features, splash-prone areas, commercial displays and architectural accent lighting. For dry interior applications, compare the wider 20W COB LED Strip category. For more demanding water exposure, select a product specifically rated and approved for that environment.Accessories and Installation SupportExplore LED Drivers, Aluminium LED Profiles, LED Strip Connectors and the full LED Strip Lights collection.
