Shop LED drivers in Australia at Empire of Light. Compare 24V constant-voltage power supplies, 12V options and dimmable drivers for compatible lighting. Our range includes 36W, 60W, 100W, 150W, 200W and 320W models. Check each product’s voltage, output type and installation requirements before ordering.
Choose a driver to match your lighting
- Output voltage and type: match the strip or fitting’s specification. A 24V constant-voltage strip requires a compatible 24V constant-voltage driver; constant-current luminaires need a driver selected for their specified current and voltage range.
- Connected load: multiply strip watts per metre by the total installed length. Include all runs and connected equipment, then follow the driver’s loading and temperature-derating instructions.
- Dimming: confirm whether the model supports your intended control method. A dimmable driver must be compatible with the dimmer, controller and lighting load.
- Installation environment: check the driver’s IP rating, mounting instructions, ventilation and operating temperature. Protected drivers still need suitable cable terminations and installation.
For a worked selection example, read how to choose a 24V LED driver for LED strip lights. Mains connections and electrical fault diagnosis should be handled by a licensed electrician.

LED driver FAQs
What size LED driver do I need?
Start with the strip’s watts per metre multiplied by its installed length. For example, 5 metres at 10W per metre is a nominal 50W strip load. Select the final driver using its manufacturer’s capacity, temperature and loading instructions.
Can I use a 24V driver with a 12V LED strip?
No. The output voltage must match the strip’s rated input voltage. Extra wattage capacity does not make a different voltage suitable.
Are all LED drivers dimmable?
No. Check the specific driver and the complete control system. If your existing strip is unstable, read our guide to flickering LED strip lights before buying replacement parts.
How do I choose between indoor and IP-rated drivers?
Use the actual installation conditions and product instructions. An indoor model needs a suitable protected location; an IP-rated enclosure does not protect exposed joints or override mounting requirements.
